Earlier this month, FDNY Marine Operations in conjunction with the FDNY Incident Management Team and FDNY Center for Terrorism and Disaster Preparedness conducted a four-day, full-scale exercise aboard the SUNY Maritime College operated Empire State VII, a brand-new state-of-the-art vessel. This large-scale drill had FDNY units responding to several simulated scenarios which include a shipboard fire and a hazardous materials spill.
