IndyCar has decided to make some schedule changes for safety reasons heading into Sunday's race. The Java House Grand Prix of Arlington is set to take place on Sunday afternoon. However, the race's schedule has been changed, due to dangerous storms in the area. The race has been moved up due to "high winds."
Palou and third-place winner Will Power, of the Andretti Global team, were the first drivers introduced on the podium. Kirkwood was introduced last as the crowd cheered. Red, white and blue star-shaped confetti shot into the air as each racer held up their trophies and sprayed the crowd with champagne.
So far, the 2026 IndyCar Series championship is everything the 2025 season was not as the lead in the drivers’ standings has changed three times and each of the three different winners were dominant on their respective days.
